Who Passed Jesus' Inspection In 1919?
by Cameron_Don ini was looking over the upcoming september 15 watchtower study article where it says that in 1919, something woke (the anointed) up!
jesus had come to inspect all those who called themselves christians.
some of the anointed did not pass this inspection.. but as many of us know, none of the anointed would have passed an inspection of the 48 teachings that are mentioned in chapter 3 of captives of a concept.. for example: according to the proclaimers book, none of the anointed woke up to jesus invisible presence beginning in 1914 until 1943 - 24 years after jesus inspection was over.

Hey Cameron, I have news for you. There was no 1919 inspection and if there was those boneheads would have flunked royally but not as bad a the present day Watchtower would have. BTW I realize you already know this.

Of course they will... and then they'll buy everyone ice cream.
Sociopaths don't repent and the Watchtower is a sociopathic organization. They would lie and say they were sorry only if they thought it would get them out of having to pay the settlement then once they felt they were in the clear they would lie again and say they were quoted out of context and what they were actually sorry about was that a form member would make up stories like this bringing reproach on God's faithful slave. Then they would say some nonsense about how Jesus said his followers would be persecuted yada yada yada...
They have over a hundred year history of never taking any responsability for what they have said or done so why would anyone expect them to start doing so now.

I'm sure they'll get some question about the child molestation case and maybe even a few about the Sparlock video.

The legal team must be in overdrive this past week with Sparlock ,Candace Conti , things usually come in three`s ,what`s next I wonder ?
by smiddy inthis may be the making or breaking of the legal department of the wtb&ts with whats happened these past weeks, they may have to go on stress leave with all this extra workload they have to contend with , and if another catastrophe should hit them ?
holy toledo ,they just might have to rely on jehovah ( wait on jehovah ) to get them out of this mess , that they have created for themselves.. smiddy.

What was the weirdest thing ever said to you as a JW?
by falseprophet ini was about 8-10 years old and twice i had people tell me that i should not pioneer but to go to bethel because i "was governing body material".. one was a co and another a do.. i didn't even believe in god, never have so that makes it weird!.

I'm not sure this wasn't the weirdest thing I ever heard as a JW but it is one that comes to mind that bothered me. A brother who is verbally abusive and even if his is phyically violent toward his family is still better than a worldly man who is a nice guy because he is in the truth.
Sound familiar Foundsheep?

I agree that it is unlikely to be the single thing that will get someone to leave however it may be the last straw for some. I remember years ago back when I was a JW having dinner at friends house who still went to the congregation I used to go to. He was telling me the a JW sister that went to that congregation had left over a recent Watchtower article that said it was wrong for a witness to wear heart jewelry. I guess she told her husband that was it. She couldn't take anymore left the lie.

If you never have used the internet, would you have returned to the borg or stay in the organization?

No way! I left before the internet but never had any intentions of ever returning. However I do believe I was fortunate to live is SoCal at that time because I think I still had a lot of Watchtower garbage running through my mind even though I no longer believe it to be the truth and there were plenty of xjws around here to help me get rid of it.
